Online Texbook Ordering

A step by step guide to getting your course materials for all your classes.

Before you get started on ordering your books make sure you have your student schedule with course numbers and section numbers.
  1. Arrow over the Textbook tab at the top of the page and click on “Buy”.

  2. When you’re done reading the information on the next page (It’s important!) click on “Accept”.

  3. You will be taken to our online price comparison site where you can enter in your course information:

  4. Select your Campus Term – pay attention to term (i.e. 2018 Fall) AND location (i.e AZUSA, ONLINE, etc.) Fall 1 and Fall 2 are Graduate level courses.

    Select your Department (i.e. LDRS), Course (i.e. 593), and Section (i.e. A1).

  5. Your class will now be added to the list on the right. Continue changing "Department", "Course" and "Section" to add all your classes to your course list. Once you have added all your courses, click on "Compare Prices on these Course Materials"

  6. Read through the next points (again, they're important!) and click on "Begin Price Comparison." The list of course materials for your classes will now be shown on the left. (If you plan on buying your books in-store, please print out your book list and bring it with you. Books are shelved alphabetically by authors' last names, not by course numbers).

There are a few things to pay attention to:
    • Required: Professor requires book for the class
    • Optional: Professor believes material will be helpful but is not required.
    • Choose One:  Item(s) may be substituted for one of the required books listed. This can be between two different editions of the same book or you may choose between a hard copy and an eBook. One must be chosen but both are not needed.
    • Store Recommended: This is for materials we believe would be helpful in your course such as Barcharts. These are not required by your professor.
Click on a course material on the left and our options and prices will appear on the right alongside those from major online retailers, making it easy for you to make the best informed choices.

  7. Once you select all the textbooks and course materials you wish to purchase from your University Bookstore and other online retailers, click on ”Checkout” and the top right. Click on "Checkout From Retailer" under APU Bookstore and you will be taken back to our website to finish the checkout process.

PLEASE NOTE: When purchasing for another online retailer, you are doing so at your own risk. The University Bookstore will not be held responsible for any purchases made on any other online vendor.

  8. Click on "Continue Shopping" on the top left to browse other materials on the bookstore website or click on "CHECKOUT" on the bottom right to proceed to final checkout. If you do not have an account, you will need to either create one or check out without creating an account. However, creating an account will make it easier for future purchases.
